Author Guidelines

Everything you need to know about submitting your research to Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies.

Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting. Manuscripts not conforming to these guidelines will be returned without review.

Scope & Eligibility

Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies welcome original, unpublished research manuscripts that make a significant contribution to their respective fields. We accept:

  • Research Articles — Original empirical or experimental research (4,000–8,000 words)
  • Review Articles — Comprehensive reviews of existing literature (5,000–10,000 words)
  • Case Studies — Detailed examination of specific subjects (2,500–5,000 words)
  • Short Communications — Brief reports on significant findings (1,500–3,000 words)
  • Commentaries/Letters — Expert commentary on published work (1,000–2,000 words)

Manuscript Preparation

All manuscripts must be prepared according to the following specifications:

General Formatting

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt or Arial, 11pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5 or double-spaced
  • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides
  • Page numbers: bottom right of each page
  • Language: English (British or American, consistent throughout)

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page — Title, all authors with affiliations, corresponding author contact
  2. Abstract — Structured (150–300 words): Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
  3. Keywords — 4–8 keywords, comma-separated
  4. Introduction — Background, rationale, objectives
  5. Materials & Methods — Reproducible methodology
  6. Results — Findings without interpretation
  7. Discussion — Interpretation and implications
  8. Conclusion — Summary and recommendations
  9. Acknowledgements — Funding, assistance (if any)
  10. Conflict of Interest — Declaration required
  11. References — APA 7th edition

References & Citations

All manuscripts must use APA 7th Edition citation style.

Tables & Figures

Tables and figures must be clearly labeled and referenced in the text:

  • Tables: numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2...) with title above
  • Figures: numbered consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2...) with caption below
  • All figures must be high resolution (minimum 300 DPI for print)
  • Figures must be submitted as separate files (JPEG, PNG, TIFF)
  • Do not embed low-resolution screenshots
  • Statistical significance must be clearly indicated

Ethics Requirements

Authors must confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere
  • All co-authors have approved the submission
  • Research involving human participants received institutional ethics approval
  • Informed consent was obtained where applicable
  • Any conflicts of interest are disclosed
  • Data fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism are grounds for rejection and retraction
